Our review
Llama chooses a costume, visits neighbors, collects treats, and returns home through a compact rhyming Halloween sequence. The board-book scale makes the ritual legible for a toddler without introducing a villain or sustained scare.
Use it as rehearsal and name which family rules may differ. Little Blue Truck’s Halloween also tours costumed friends but hides them behind flaps; Llama Llama is the simpler, sturdier narrative choice when the child needs the order of events more than a guessing game.
Before you buy it
The book presents one version of Halloween and offers little plot once the ritual is familiar.
