Our review

Every wrong answer is a small joke because the hiding place contains an animal too surprising for the house. The repeated 'no' lets a toddler answer immediately, while the container and position changes make the sequence more than animal naming. A final directional clue prevents the correct reveal from feeling arbitrary.

Dear Zoo repeats crates and changes the reason each animal is unsuitable. Where's Spot? changes locations and maintains one search, making it better for behind, inside and under language. Its shortness is useful for a first flap book but gives an older preschooler little to revisit.

Before you buy it

This is quite short and geared toward the under-three crowd. Once a child hits age four, they'll likely have moved past this one quickly.
