Our review
Little Fish swims past spotty, stripy, hairy, scary, curly, and other fanciful fish before reaching the fish loved most: Mum. Cousins uses the underwater parade to pack descriptive opposites, patterns, and playful compounds into a fast rhyme with an affectionate destination.
Let the child choose a favorite fish or invent one from two describing words; reading every label at top speed can flatten the visual jokes. Baby Bear, Baby Bear also uses a colorful animal procession, but Hooray for Fish emphasizes variation within one group and ends with a family reunion.
