Our review
Patricelli’s diapered toddler treats Blankie as cape, companion, shelter, and indispensable comfort object. The episodic pictures validate the object’s many jobs without creating a problem that must be solved or a separation the child has to accept.
This is useful when a child wants their own comfort item recognized, or when an adult wants language for all the ways it helps. It will offer less to children without that attachment. Binky builds a small crisis around a missing pacifier; Blankie is gentler and stays with the pleasure of an ever-present companion.
